sweetupndown:

you thought I didn’t really notice. But I did. I wanted to high-five you.

Yesterday I had a pair of brothers in my store. One was maybe between 15-17. He was a wrestler at the local high school. Kind of tall, stocky and handsome. He had a younger brother, who was maybe about…

you are wasting your damn life.

You are BLESSED with your OWN life, something you get to claim and no one else.

You have this amazing gift of the human body, capable of running, jumping, swimming, crushing, fucking, WHATEVER.

You are abusing it and wasting it as you laze around all day.

GET THE FUCK UP

Start excercising everyday. Cardio to burn the fat off of that godly body waiting for you underneath, smothered flab. Work out, lift weights to get the muscle.

Cut that shit right out of your fucking diet. Food=Fuel; Nutritious=Delicious.

You were given this body, make it the BEST you fucking can.

worship it.

Push yourself until you can´t go any farther. This is HARD and you want to give up, but you aren’t like those other pieces of shit walking this planet.

You are diferent, you can make it possible.

You can push past your limits and improve yourself and FUCKING BREATHE in and out the oxygen that continues to pump your body up to you LIVE, live more and more each fucking day.

You are worth so fucking much, but you’re covering up all that worth by stuffing your face and make yourself feel like shit.

IF YOU SAY YOU HAVE THE WILL POWER, THEN, LIKE MAGIC, YOU DO

My name is Kelly Schomburg, I’m the girl with the red hair in these pictures. I was protesting at the Occupy Wall Street march yesterday when I and several other women were sprayed with mace and subsequently arrested. Many have already seen the video, which has been spreading like wildfire over twitter, Facebook, tumblr, and other video feeds, along with hundreds of other photos and videos. This is my recount of what happened.

Occupy Wall St.

Does anyone take the news seriously? They shouldn’t.

When I think about how the news wasn’t covering Occupy Wall Street, it made a lot of sense.  I didn’t think it was right, but it made sense that corporately owned news conglomerates weren’t covering a story about a movement that, at minimum, criticizes the hands that feed them.  Now it has gotten too big to ignore, and that’s awesome.

The problem, I find, is that we clearly don’t live in a country where being a reporter means anything like being impartial.  We don’t really expect it anymore, and that is a shame.  It’s essentially what news is for.  Facts, figures… not one unending op-ed piece by the people who own them.

“Read the Demands of Occupy Wall Street… and try not to laugh!”

Even if you divorce yourself from the Occupy Wall Street movement, just look at that headline.  Fair?  Balanced?  Impartial?  No.  Propaganda.  At the very core and its very basest definition, it is a piece meant to sway you away from something that could potentially save you.  It is a piece that demands you agree with their views before you even click the link.

Every day that passes I get more and more angry at the sorry state this country is in and the inability of people to get straight news.  No wonder so many people are against us who essentially are in the same shit we’re in.  The lies they’re fed are punched up with the very corporate malice that we are fighting against.

Its infuriating.  I am so glad I am a poor writer with nothing to her name, than a journalist, the degree everyone tried to angle me towards when I said that writing was it or nothing.  I hate journalists and journalism more and more every day.  If it was what it was meant to be, maybe I wouldn’t hate them as much… but as with everything in this country, if you don’t have a corporate sponsor, you are never heard or taken seriously.  This is a cancer.

I have read the demands of Occupy Wall Street, as a matter of fact.  I didn’t laugh.  I applauded.  I cried.  I was glad someone was finally able to organize something that had been so close to my heart for so long.

Watch out for the news, use common sense, and by god stay away from the big networks.  If you want to learn, come down to Wall Street or the occupy movement near you.  It may be one of the only places you get the straight and unadulterated version of what is actually going on, and what we really want.  I guarantee you’ll be treated with respect when you have a question or concern, instead of being told what to think and feel.
